An interior build out of the 4th floor of the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center. At 22,439 SF, the design-build project houses wet research laboratories, offices, a conference room and break room for the faculty, and has capacity for 157 full-time researchers. Two new accessible restrooms were also added to the floor, as well as new MEPF and data systems. The project involved minimal structural upgrades.

The existing building is five stories. All other floors were fully occupied during construction, including a sensitive vivarium on the 5th floor. Level 10 maintained the project schedule while having to install approx. 3,000 additional all-thread, unistrut anchors to support ductwork in the vivarium on the 5th floor. The original anchors were unuseable due to increased loads and subsequent design changes.

Before building the project in the field, Level 10 fully modeled the project using Building Information Modeling (BIM) software.

LEED Gold.
