New 35,000 SF, three-story, cGMP peptide manufacturing facility, with laboratory, office and conference spaces. The steel moment frame building was connected to an existing laboratory facility and separated by a seismic joint. The existing lab facility underwent exterior and interior renovation.
Sitework included an equipment yard, roadways, landscaping and irrigation, bioswales and new utilities. The facility is located in a cul-de-sac, which received new asphalt concrete and sidewalks in order to provide proper storm drainage and accessible paths of travel to the buildings.
Project challenges included a fast-track schedule for the 1st floor of less than eight months from demolition to completion of the new building. Additionally, Level 10 developed phasing plans and value engineered the project to meet CS Bio’s operational and budget objectives. Design-build MEPF, skin and exterior framing. LEED Gold.
